Meet the Dentists
Michael Edwards, DDS
Dr. Edwards is a 1994 Graduate of Germantown High School. He then went on to receive his undergraduate degree from Marquette University in 1998. Dr. Edwards received his dental degree also from Marquette University in 2006 where he was the Class Vice President for two years. Dr. Edwards then completed an advanced training in General Dentistry at the Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee in 2007. And in addition to private practice, Dr. Edwards was once an Adjunct Associate Pre-Clinical Professor at the Marquette School of Dentistry and plans to return once time permits.
Dr. Edwards has a deep commitment to continuing education and is a member of many different professional organizations including the American Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association and the Waukesha Dental Society. It is this constant commitment that aides him in delivering the best treatment for his patients in the most kind and compassionate way.
Dr. Edwards has been happily married to his wife, Mari, since 1999 and they have four children. In his free time, Dr. Edwards enjoys all forms of sports and the outdoors. And he of course enjoys being an "unpaid Uber driver" for all of his children and their sports and activities.
Michelle Aumann, DMD
From a young age, Dr. Aumann always wanted to be a dentist, having grown up in Colgate, it was fate. She loved brushing her teeth, and even counted down the days to her appointments. The care and compassion she received resonated with her and how she strives to treat her own patients.
Dr. Aumann is a 2008 graduate of Germantown High School. She attended the University of Minnesota where she earned her undergraduate degree in nutrition. Dr. Aumann then attended Midwestern University (Illinois), where she received both her master's and dental degrees.
During dental school, Dr. Aumann was actively involved in organized dentistry, and served as the chapter President of the American Student Dental Association, and President of the College of Dental Medicine. During her third year, she was awarded the National Health Service Corps scholarship. Dr. Aumann was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society for her academic and clinical achievements.
Prior to joining Village Dental Group in 2020, Dr. Aumann worked at a Milwaukee Public Health clinic, honing her clinical skills, and fulfilling her passion to help the underserved.
Dr. Aumann values education, and is a member of the American Dental Association, Wisconsin Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and Chicago Dental Society. Her genuine passion of being a life-long learner keeps her up to date with the latest dental research, allowing her to provide the best care to her patients.
Dr. Aumann is happily married to her husband, Christian. Together they have a son and a spoiled dog. In her free time, Dr. Aumann enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, baking, watching and playing sports, and anything Disney.
